About the app
We’re building the CanBe mobile app to help you find practical cancer support near you — support groups, education, services, and community programs. Our goal is to make it easier to discover what exists and decide what’s worth your time.
CanBe is built to reduce the burden of searching: we bring together support listings from trusted organizations, so you don’t have to hunt across dozens of websites. It will be free to use.
How will the CanBe app help me?
For example, if you’re looking for a local support group, transportation help, or a financial counseling program, CanBe will help you find what’s available nearby — and save the options you want to come back to later.
We focus on practical and emotional support resources (not medical advice), and we aim to explain privacy choices in plain language.
What we’re working toward
- Local discovery — Find support options by location and support type, without having to search across dozens of sites.
- Clearer matching — Understand what a program is for and who it’s intended to help, so you can decide quickly.
- Save and revisit — Keep a short list so you don’t have to re-search when energy is limited.
- Respectful reminders — Opt-in notifications so you can keep track of events you care about, on your terms.
